Cormac Sheridan

Cormac Sheridan is a highly experienced biotechnology commentator, having reported on the sector since the mid-1990s. He has been a contributor to Nature Biotechnology for over two decades and reported for BioWorld for over 25 years. His work has also appeared in Nature Reviews Drug Discovery, The Scientist, New Scientist, The Irish Times, The Irish Examiner, and Technology Ireland, among other publications. He has also reported on technology for IT’s Monday News and has lectured on media to B.Sc. Genetics students at University College Cork for 20 years. 

Cormac studied Microbiology at UCC and Journalism at Dublin City University and is currently the pro bono administrator of the Mary Mulvihill Award, a science media competition for third-level students in Ireland. In a previous life, he was a theatre lighting designer.
